10 Shots
Introduction: Me and Noah worked on this one together so if there are any mistakes they are his fault and definitely not mine because he stinks and I'm awesome. Each shot is labelled with the type of shot it is directly under it along with a summary of what we did in short, and also some extra comments.High Angle Shot: This is a shot where I am standing near the middle of the court being filmed from above. He stood atop the stairs at building 3 to take this shot. There was a tree blocking the way on the building 1 stairs.
Head-on Shot: This is a shot where it is just pointing at some stairs until something (a shoe) comes flying at the camera. He threw a shoe at me. Pretty self-explanatory. We had to make sure he wasn't in shot and also not laugh when he threw it.
Establishing Shot: This shot is supposed to establish the setting. For it to have umbrellas on the seats, it must be a tropical place. The building is clearly manmade so it's either a school or a gigantic restaurant. Obviously the restaurant bit is a little (not that little) unrealistic.
Tilt Shot: This is a tilt-shot where my finger got in the way on the right side because I'm a dope. I tried to crop it but I didn't think it would be worth missing so much of the right side so I only cropped off some of it. We did the front of the 3rd building up to the balcony in the shot.
Dolly Shot: We moved it along the sidewalk as if it were on a dolly. Honestly, probably the most natural (not made by people) place in the school. There is actual grass and trees. (Well, I don't know if it's actual grass. After seeing the cafeteria sell brown hot dogs and black pizza I'd say grass is out of their price range.)
Over-the-shoulder (OTS) Shot: People in the hallway had to watch as Noah basically followed me with a phone on my shoulder recording. We got weird looks as anyone would imagine.
Low-Angle Shot: We had to lay down to capture this shot on the grass. Not really much to say about this one, it is just a tree.
Follow Shot: Noah followed me along the sidewalk. We had to walk along the side of this to get the follow shot.
Extreme Close-Up; We zoomed in on a leaf. It's a leaf as you can see. Pretty leafy.
Tilt shot: We did a tilt shot on the trojan because it's probably the most interesting thing in that court to be honest with you. Looks kind of beat up which I hadn't noticed before. I'm sure it wasn't on purpose but it's kind of fitting seeing as it's a trojan.
First off, I enjoyed the way you used the tilt shot on the trojan, the tilt shot almost gave it an intimidation factor as if the trojan was larger than life. The head on shot was good because you could feel like something was flying at you, however I could have thrown the shoe better. I liked the high angle shot the most because of the way it was panning up so we could see the whole of the surroundings.
